The Lakers have made a few key roster moves this offseason, but this one signing in particular has been their best move.

The Lakers waived Milton on July 20, right before his $3 million contract became guaranteed for the upcoming season. L.A. has used the space created by cutting Milton and Jordan Goodwin to sign Marcus Smart. Goodwin was claimed off waivers by the Suns. Milton has averaged 8.1 points per game in his NBA career.
